CLINICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF HEMORRHAGIC FEVER WITH RENAL SYNDROMS (HFRS) IN VARIOUS GEOGRAPHICAL REGIONS,
Abstract
The so called 'Tula fever' has been known since 1930, but it was only in 1958, during a particularly severe outbreak of this disease which extended to 14 districts of Tula Oblast, that additional clinical and pathomorphological observations were carried out, and an opinion was advanced on the relationship of this disease to hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome or hemorrhagic nephrosonephritis. It is known that in different HFRS foci various correlations of mild and severe cases of infection have been noted. This is attributed to different degrees of intensity of the hemorrhagic syndrome. Thus it was supposed that the existence of clinical variants of this infection was associated with nosogeographical pecularities of the focus. (Author)
