Abstract

Data for this report was collected during the summer periods of 1961 to 1965 on the eastern spurs of the Salair Mountain range and western foothills of Kuznetsk Alatau (south of Kemerovo Oblast). The plan of the investigating team was to study the role played by birds in feeding as well as in transportation of the forest-tick Ixodes persulcatus P. Sch., the vector of tickborne encephalitis virus. (Author)
