PILOT PERFORMANCE AND TOLERANCE STUDIES OF ORBITAL RE-ENTRY ACCELERATION.

Abstract

The report concerns a preliminary study of human tolerance to the re-entry accelerations expected in zero lift vehicles. The study was undertaken to ascertain whether a human subject could tolerate orbital re-entry acceleration patterns associated with the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) manned space capsule.
