PARAMETRIC RESONANCE OF ONE-DIMENSIONAL STRUCTURES SUBJECTED TO PERIODIC IMPACTS.

Abstract

A general procedure is developed to analyze the parametric resonance of one-dimensional structures subjected to periodic impulsive loading. The procedure is applicable to systems governed by a set of simultaneous Hill's equations and makes use of Fourier series and Hill's determinants. The procedure is illustrated by several examples of thin-walled beams. (Author)
