THE POLICE FUNCTION IN STABILITY OPERATIONS,

Abstract

Stability operations present complex problems and conflicting objectives in an uncertain environment. This paper discusses some of the problems intrinsic to these situations which may result from cross-cultural misunderstanding, and a drive to transfer proven formulae unchanged. Several problem areas meriting further study are suggested. (Author)
