COST-EFFECTIVENESS COMPARISON OF TWO MULTICOUPLING APPROACHES TO HF TRANSMITTING SYSTEM ENGINEERING.

Abstract

Integrated power amplifier coupler approach is shown to provide increased communications effectiveness compared with conventional hf transmitter and multicoupling subsystems of equal cost. In particular, the PAC approach affords (1) increased circuit availability, (2) less interference, (3) better control of information bandwidth, (4) fewer problems from parasitic resonances, (5) simplicity of operation and (6) greater commonality.
