MAGNETOPLASMA EFFECTS IN SOLIDS.

Abstract

Experiments on cyclotron resonance performed with a submillimeter spectrometer are discussed. These experiments were developed on tellurium and on metals (the later in the Azbel-Kaner configuration). They allowed: (1) to measure the mass constants of the ellipsoids of the valence band of tellurium; (2) to show the existence of secondary lines of cyclotron resonance in tellurium at very high frequency; (3) to verify the theoretical shape of the absorption line in copper and gallium, hence to measure directly the relaxation time.
