CRYSTALLINE PHOSPHOLIPASE A ASSOCIATED WITH A COBRA VENOM TOXIN.

Abstract

Crystalline phospholipase A was prepared from a fraction of Cobra venom which exhibits a very potent central nervous system toxicity. The crystalline material can be fractionated further by either electrophoresis or column chromatography, producing two major components with the same specific phospholipase activity as the original crystals.
