STUDY OF THE CONTROL OF ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION FROM AIRCRAFT AND SPACE VEHICLES.

Abstract

The research summarized in this final report constitutes the results of a three-year study of the control of the electromagnetic radiation from aircraft and space vehicles. The main objective of the program was the investigation of techniques that might find application in antennas for aerospace vehicles. Research was conducted in five major areas: waves in layered media, optimization of array gain, antenna pattern synthesis, phase-shifting techniques, and computational techniques for scanned arrays. These studies resulted in the publication of nine scientific reports which are summarized separately in this final report. (Author)
