COLLECTIVE METHODS FOR SYSTEMS WITH LONG-RANGE COHERENCE.

Abstract

The concepts of Further Generalized Bose Condensation and Anisotropic ODLRO are formulated, shown equivalent to each other and demonstrated on the model of a this Bose film. A mechanism is suggested for the occurence of first order phase transitions in quatum plasmas and used for the calculations of the transitions in (a) white dwarfs, (b) submetallic densities of the electron plasma. The model of particles on a circle with interaction-fourier-components 1/k squared is developed in the Random Phase Approximation. The equivalent of plasmons, phonons, Froehlich attraction, superconductivity etc. are explored. The phase transition mentioned in section 2 is shown to occur in the one-dimensional model mentioned in section 3. Exact solutions are obtained for the nonlinear cold plasma and used in analogous problem of nonlinear waves in a disk like galaxy. A system of Bosons interacting with a general two body interaction is being explored within the Extended Randon Phase Approximation in the equation of motion method, starting out from collective modes as those introduced by Anderson for superconductivity.
