SOLAR MAGNETIC FIELDS.

Abstract

Attention is called to the instrumental improvements (Babcock-type magnetograph, chromospheric patrol etc.) and the development of some new techniques, as the atomic beam spectroscopy in absorption. The editorial effort of the observatory is demonstrated by the publication of the Monthly Bulletin 'Solar Phenomena' and the new international 'Photographic Journal of the Sun'. (Author)
