THE ARC HEATED THERMAL JET ENGINE.
Abstract
The general aspects of the arc jet engine are discussed on the basis of work performed by Giannini and McDonnell prior to 1967. The basic performance equations for arc jet engines have been derived and used in a parametric study. The problem of an optimum specific impulse is treated in detail. (Author)
