USE OF DIGITAL COMPUTERS IN MATHEMATICAL PHYSICS COURSE AT AIR FORCE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY,

Abstract

The use of digital computers in the solution of some of the partial differential equations of mathematical physics, has been introduced into our mathematical physics course at the Air Force Institute of Technology. This prepares our graduate physics and nuclear engineering students for the use of digital computers for their M.S. theses research, as well as their subsequent assignments in Air Force Laboratories.
