ENVIRONMENTAL DATA COLLECTION METHODS. VOLUME 4: VEGETATION. INSTRUCTION MANUAL 1, VEGETATION STRUCTURE

Abstract

This manual is designed primarily to provide specifications for the measurement and recording of quantitative data describing the structural characteristics of vegetation assemblages, but provisions have also been made for the acquisition of qualitative supplemental information, such as plant nomenclature, leaf condition, presence of irritants, and so on. The formats used for recording the data have been designed for compatibility with automatic data processing (ADP) machines to minimize the difficulties of data storage, retrieval, and manipulation.
