ELASTIC PROPERTIES OF A NIOBIUM-VANADIUM-CHROMIUM SYSTEM OF ALLOYS (PRUZNI VLASTYVOSTI SPLAVIV SYSTEMY NYUBII-VANADII-KHROM),

Abstract

The effect of vanadium on the elastic properties of niobium or niobium-4% chromium alloy has been investigated. Alloys containing 5, 10, 15, or 20% vanadium were melted from 99.4%-pure niobium, 99.5%-pure vanadium, and 99.92%-pure chromium in an arc furnace in an inert atmosphere. (Author)
