DETERMINING THE PROBABILISTIC OF THE PARAMETERS OF PERTURBED MOTION OF AN ARTIFICIAL EARTH SATELLITE (OPREDELENIE VEROYATNOSTNYKH KHARAKTERISTIK PARAMETROV VOZMUSHCHENNOGO DVIZHENIYA ISKUSSTVENNOG SPUTNIKA ZEMLI),

Abstract

The problem of approximate determination of the probabilistic characteristics (mathematical expectation and variance) of parameters of an osculating elliptical orbit is analyzed for an artificial satellite in a central gravitational field, taking the resistance of the atmosphere as the only perturbing force. Equations of motion of such a satellite in osculating elements are written from which approximate expressions for increments of parameters at an arbitrary revolution of the orbit are derived.
