NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCE IN LIQUID INDIUM AND BISMUTH.

Abstract

Data are presented for the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation time, T1, and the Knight shift, K, as functions of temperature in liquid Bi209. These data together with previously reported data for Ga69,71, Rb85,87, Sb121,123, Na23 and In115 are used to develop a broad interpretation of the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate, R1, in liquid non-transition metals. K is interpreted in connection with the analysis of R1.
