A PROGRAMMING GUIDE TO NOVACOM, A STRETCH COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR 'NON-ORTHOGONAL' ANALYSIS OF VARIANCE AND COVARIANCE.

Abstract

The report gives detailed operating and programming maintenance documentation for NOVACOM, a computer program for 'non-orthogonal' analysis of variance and covariance. It is suggested that this document be used in conjunction with AD-669 899. Chapters 3 - 5 of this report contain information pertinent to the use of NOVACOM: the procedure for input preparation, an explanation of program output, program limitations and restrictions, and a sample problem. Chapters 6 - 12 are more or less a maintenance guide. These chapters give detailed documentation of key areas of the program and contain information which will facilitate program maintenance, modification, and/or conversion to another computer system. The NOVACOM program is operational on an IBM 7030 computer. It is coded entirely in FORTRAN IV except for two minor utility subroutines which are coded in assembly language. The NOVACOM program is well suited for large scale digital computers with high-speed auxiliary storage.
