ENVIRONMENTAL MEASUREMENTS AND INSTRUMENTATION DATA IN SUPPORT OF NAVOCEANO AERIAL COLOR PHOTOGRAPHY TEST.

Abstract

Measurements of incident and reflected solar radiation of the surface and underwater environment were made at the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center at Andros Island in the Bahama Islands during the period 10 February to 25 February 1968. These data include: the intensity and spectral distribution of solar radiation incident upon the surface; the relative spectral reflectance of surface targets; and beach areas; the spectral intensity and distribution of solar radiation at various depths beneath the water and reflected by the bottom as well as the backscatter spectrum of the water. Calibration data on the spectroradiometric equipment and the four lens multispectral camera are provided. Spectral photographic results indicative of that which can be expected from the test have been included. (Author)
