Abstract
A specialized bibliography, arbitrarily limited to 1000 entries, was assembled as a part of the background preparation for a long-range research program studying marine desert ecology, particularly as it occurs along the central coast of Peru. The ecology of this coast of Peru is more complicated than usual because the unusual foggy desert environment is a reflection of some remarkable near-shore conditions. This listing was prepared solely to serve certain needs of the investigators engaged in this marine desert ecology project, and should not be considered absolutely exhaustive in any of the component subject disciplines.
