HIGH TEMPERATURE EVALUATION OF ROKIDE ZX95 AND JOHNS MANSVILLE ASBESTOS FILLED RESIN,

Abstract

The erosion resistance of two high temperature insulating materials were evaluated by exposure to the exhaust flame of a rocket engine. The materials involved were (1) coatings of metal-modified zirconium (or titanium) and zirconia on steel plate; and (2) asbestos filled Monstanto SC-1008 resin.
