PRESSURE MEASUREMENTS IN THE CONVAIR-ASTRONAUTICS SHOCK TUBE,

Abstract

This report describes the selection, calibration, and use of pressure instrumentation used on one make of shock tube. Some of the problems which arose are discussed along with the methods of solution. Vibration and drift problems of piezoelectric pressure measuring systems are discussed. Examples of shock tube pressure records are presented and compared with theoretical values. (Author)
