COMPATIBILITY OF EXPLOSIVES WITH POLYMERS 2

Abstract

The work reported covers the explosives/plastics compatibility data from 1959 through 1967. The effort has been to include all available hard data from the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and these United States. The study is given a simplified form: in alphabetical order (first) by trade name or generic name of the plastic and (second) by explosive. By this means the reader can tell (first) what explosives a plastic is compatible with and (second) what plastics can be used safely with a particular explosive. For this report, the search was expanded to include adhesives and elastomers.
