MACROTURBULENCE IN THE GENERAL CIRCULATION OF THE ATMOSPHERE (MAKROTURBULENTNOST V OBSHCHEI TSIRKULIATSII ATMOSFERY),

Abstract

The book reports the results of original investigations of the general circulation of the atmosphere using zonal characteristics of macroturbulence in the temperate latitudes of the northern hemisphere. Quantitative data on the energetic state of the atmosphere for two years are cited, the geographic distribution of the components of kinetic energy of the atmosphere is given, and the regularities in variations of general circulation are described.
