COMPUTATION OF AXIAL-SYMMETRIC TRANSONIC SWIRL FLOWS BY THE UNSTEADY FLOW APPROACH. APPENDIX: CHECK OF THE ACCURACY OF THE RESULTS,

Abstract

Steady flows through a Laval nozzle with and without swirl are computed as the long time limit of unsteady flow fields by means of a three dimensional method of characteristics. In an appendix the accuracy of the results is checked by means of integral relations that hold for steady flows. (Author)
