THE USE OF CULTURING AND COAGULATION FOR THE DETECTION OF PATHOGENIC MICROBES IN WATER

Abstract

A method is described for the detection of pathogenic microbes in water using 10% peptone (Ph = 8.0 - 8.2), 10% potash alum and placing in a thermostat at 37C for 4 hours. The precipitate is then placed in a culture medium.
