DESIGN, FABRICATION OF PROTOTYPES, AND TESTING OF SEALED RECHARGEABLE SILVER-CADMIUM CELLS.

Abstract

The manufacture of the pasted silver electrodes and of the pressed cadmium electrodes, for this program is described. Both electrodes have pure silver substrates of one-piece construction. The separator system used in the sealed cells is delineated. Cell construction and assembly is given in detail, with accompanying drawings. The activation and formation procedures for AG-15S cells are described. Data from AG-15S test cells are presented in tabular and graphic form. The results of the tests and conclusions to be drawn from them are discussed. (Author)
