Abstract

The report describes the design, assembly, and installation of a magnesium anode cathodic protection system on a three-point moor laid in 5400 feet of water on the Tongue of the Ocean on 26-30 May 1962. The theoretical considerations of cathodic protection of wire rope are discussed as well as the effect of coatings on the results. (Author)
