NUCLEAR/WEATHER CLOUD INDICATOR.

Abstract

A feasibility study was conducted on the development of a new nuclear/weather data processing technique to provide a means of detecting and analyzing nuclear clouds or slow, small changes in weather patterns. When used with a radar set such as the AN/TPS-41(XE-1), this nuclear/weather cloud indicator will receive radar weather data, store the data on magnetic tape, and compare it with real-time information for both short and long-time comparisons. The difference between real-time and stored data, as displayed by the indicator unit, represents changes in the weather pattern or the instantaneous occurrence of a nuclear cloud. (Author)
