AN ANALYSIS OF DOMESTIC SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS IN THE UNITED STATES.

Abstract

The possible application of communications satellites for domestic application in the United States has been proposed. This represents an unprecedented application for communications satellites; that is, for distances previously thought to be too small for communications satellites to be economically feasible, and in an area where terrestrial communications facilities are already well advanced. This essay is an attempt to study and analyze the financial, economical, and legal factors and concepts that are relevant to this method of communications. (Author)
