Abstract
The report describes the analysis of a typical factory test set from the standpoint of human engineering. The procedures that were developed are discussed. Results are discussed and recommendations made in the areas of: (1) Frequency of use of controls and displays; (2) Sequence of use of controls and displays; (3) Location and design of holding fixtures; (4) Difficulty of hook-up of unit; (5) Troubleshooting to be done at the test location; (6) Workplace layout.
