RAPID METHOD FOR DETERMINING QUALITY OF STANNATE IMMERSION COATINGS.

Abstract

The report covers the development of a rapid means for determining the quality of a deposited stannate immersion coating. An apparatus was designed to measure the quantity of hydrogen gas evolved when a magnesium-steel couple is placed in an electrolyte. It was shown that this method could be used as a rapid means for evaluating the quality of stannate immersion coatings. (Author)
