PRESSURE DEPENDENCE OF THE ELASTIC CONSTANTS OF SINGLE CRYSTALS.

Abstract

A summary is given of a research program involving the investigation of the pressure variation of the elastic constants of single crystals. The materials examined included Cu, Ag, Au, Al, Mg, Cd, Li, Na, K, Rb, NaCl, KCl. An investigation was also undertaken on the ultrasonic equation of state of Fe. A list of technical reports and publications resulting from the work is included.
