INORGANIC CHEMICAL REACTIONS AND SYNTHESIS UNDER HIGH PRESSURE AND HIGH TEMPERATURE.

Abstract

This investigation was a study of inorganic chemical reactions and phase equilibria under high pressures and concomitant high temperatures. It consisted of two parts. The first was the study of the pressure-temperature dependence of oxidation-reduction reactions between inorganic solids. The second was the study of phase equilibria in the ternary system MgO-SiO2-H2). These two parts are reported in separate sections for continuity. (Author)
