ALKYLATION OF FERROCENE BY OLEFINS IN THE PRESENCE OF COMPOUNDS OF BORON FLUORIDE AND ALUMINUM CHLORIDE (ALKILIROVANIE FERROTSENA OLEFINAMI PRISUTSTVII SOEDINENII FTORISTOGO BORA I KHLORISTOGO ALYUMINIYA),

Abstract

The possibility of using boron fluoride compounds as catalysts in the olefin alkylation of ferrocene was investigated. It was established that when such catalysts are used, a considerable increase is obtained in the yield of ferrocene monoalkyl derivatives. For the first time, mono- and diisooctylferrocenes were prepared by reactions of direct olefin alkylation of ferrocene. (Author)
