EXPERIENCE IN THE OPERATION OF THE MR REACTOR AND CONDUCTING TESTS OF TVEL AND MATERIALS.

Abstract

A description is given of the loop-type research reactor MR which was designed for testing fuel elements (TVEL) and materials for new atomic power plants. Topics include: selected physical characteristics of the reactor; reactor control and protection system; reactor technological systems; mobile fuel assemblies and stack block operating conditions; recharging operations; operation of the loop assemblies; organization and conduct of fuel element and materials; radiation monitoring; the radiation situation in the reactor.
