THE UNIT CELL OF BETA-TA2O5,
Abstract
Single crystals of beta-Ta2O5 were grown from molten KPO3. The lattice parameters are a = 14.65A, b = 9.395A, and c = 31.19A; the space group is Pna2. It appears that this is a different polymorph from that represented by reagent-grade powder. The morphology is described. (Author)
