NOISE FROM SURFACE WAVES.

Abstract

A fixed station was established off the west coast of Bimini, Bahamas for the acquisition of underwater acoustics data. The system consisted of two bottom mounted hydrophones in water depths of 25 and 400 meters, and located at distances of one and two miles west of the shore based terminal equipment. Wind speed and wind direction were obtained during the period of investigation from a recording anemometer located on the island of Bimini. (Author)
