METHOD FOR SIMULTANEOUS SUMMATION OF BINARY NUMBERS (SPOSOB ODNOVREMENNOGO SUMMIROVANIYA NESKOLKIKH DVOICHNYKH CHISEL),
Abstract
The suggested method consists of the following: the sum of the digits of the lowest order position of all the numbers is coded in binary. The digit of the lower order position of the code produced represents the digit for the first order position of the sum of all the numbers. The remaining order positions form the code of the state for the second order position is summed with the binary code of the sum of the digits of the second order position for all numbers, which is determined also by coding all the digits in the second order position of the numbers. The digit of the lowest order position in the result produced by this operation represents the digit of the second order position of the code of the sum of all the numbers, and the remaining order positions are a code of the state for the third order position of the summed numbers. The process continues until all digits of the sequential code of the sum and the numbers are found. This method leads to an increase in operating speed and reduction in equipment needed.
