MULTIFREQUENCY VIBRATOR WITH NONCIRCULAR GEAR-WHEEL MECHANISM (POLICHASTOTNYI VIBRATOR S MEKHANIZMOM NEKRUGLYKH KOLES),

Abstract

For successful compacting of ground, the natural frequency of the vibrator on the ground must be near the frequency of the exciting forces. To follow the changing frequency, the vibrator has to provide a force consisting of a number of desired harmonics. The possibility of using noncircular gears to design a multifrequency vibrator is considered. A function composed of the desired harmonics is derived. Using it, a function of the transmission ratio, and thus also the shape of the wheels, is found.
