THERMOELECTRONIC PROPERTIES OF (UC)0.2:(ZRC)0.8 IN CESIUM VAPORS (TERMOELEKTRONNYE SOVOISTVA (UC)0.2:ZRC)0.8 V PARAKH TSEZIYA),

Abstract

The thermoelectronic emission of uranium mono- and dicarbides and of solid solution of uranium and zirconium carbides (UC)0.2:(ZrC)0.8 was studied in vacuo and the thermoelectronic emission of (UC)0.2:(ZrC)0.8 solid solution was studied in the presence of cesium vapor. The temperature varied from 1620K to 2200K and the cesium vapor pressure varied in a wide range (saturation pressures corresponding to 70-200C). (Author)
