SHELTER OCCUPANCY STUDIES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA.

Abstract

In 1967 the Civil Defense Research Staff at the University of Georgia conducted two simulated fallout shelter occupancy studies; one, a 722-person test, and the other, a 1,046-person test. Men, women, and children, aged 6 months to 79 years, participated. Detailed findings are presented in this report, as well as a study outline of a 2-hour emergency shelter management training course.
