THE CONDITION FOR THE FORMATION OF THE SECONDARY SHOCK WAVE IN HYPERSONIC FLOW,

Abstract

The conditions were studied for formation of a secondary shock wave in hypersonic flow around a blunt-nosed cone. Airflow behind the cone was taken as motion around a concave surface. A coordinate system was used to explain the discontinuity in the flow layer, taking into account direction of flow, entropy, Mach number, velocity of flow, air pressure, and geometric parameters.
