THE RINGING IRREGULARITY IN IONOSPHERIC SCINTILLATION.

Abstract

Strip chart recordings of the 136 MHz signal from the Intelsat Canary Bird Satellite detected at four receiving sites from June 4 to October 17, 1967 were scanned for the occurrence of a regular cyclic type of fading. Sixty-five events were observed and tabulated. Data are presented concerning the direction, speed, and size of these drifting irregularities, the computation of the height, and the diurnal pattern.
