APPLICATIONS OF ALUMINUM ALLOYS IN BUILDING STRUCTURES (SELECTED SECTIONS)

Abstract

The classification, chemical composition and mechanical characteristics of aluminum alloys produced in the USSR are presented in this report. Aluminum alloys are divided into two categories - casting and shaping. Casting alloys are used for making various intricately shaped castings, and their chemical composition is divided into five groups. GOST 2685-53 lists the chemical composition and mechanical properties of casting alloys.
