GEOGRAPHY AND THE PROPERTIES OF SURFACES. A MATHEMATICAL REPRESENTATION OF THE ALTITUDE RELATIONSHIPS ON THE SURFACE OF THE EARTH, USING SPHERICAL FUNCTIONS TO THE 16TH ORDER.

Abstract

The work is a translation of Adalbert Prey's Darstellung der Hohen - und Tiefenverhaltnisse der Erde durch eine entwicklung nach kugelfunktionen bis zur 16. ordnung, Berlin, 1922. A mathematical representation of the entire earth's surface is given to assist in solving problems related to gravity variations, movement of the poles, tides and other geo-physical phenomena.
