Abstract

Three examples of information processing are discussed in the most general way. First, there is a description of functions performed by an accounting machine at a factory for keeping track of time and cost. Second, there is a mention of a factory conveyer system controlled by a stored program. Finally, there is a discussion of a problem designing an inter-city intercom for electric power company.
