SELF-CONSISTENT FIELD CALCULATIONS FOR ENERGY LEVELS OF 6, 7 AND 8 ELECTRON ISOELECTRONIC SEQUENCES,

Abstract

Self-consistant field calculations were made for several configurations in the N = 6, 7, and 8 isoelectronic sequences (where N is the number of electrons in the ion). These three sequences were carried as far as the relevant calcium ion (i.e., Ca XV, Ca XIV, and Ca XIII), and comparisons were made with observed data from existing tables.
