IDENTIFICATION AND DETERMINATION OF THE PATHOGENIC PROPERTIES OF BACILLUS ANTHRACIS WITH THE AID OF A MODIFIED BIOLOGICAL TEST (IDENTIFIKATSIYA I OPREDELENIE PATOGENNYKH SVOISTV VATSILLY ANTRAKSA PRI POMOSHCHI MODIFITSIROVANNOI BIOLOGICHESKOI PROBY),

Abstract

The modification of the biotest permits identifying the pathogen of anthrax in a period of from 1.5 to 2 hours from the moment of inoculation of the pathological material. Death of the control mice (infected by utilizing the classical method) was observed in four cases in 12-24 hours. The suggested method is very sensitive and rapid, but it is necessary to have a great number of experimental mice for its carrying out. Utilization of this method is possible under conditions of each laboratory; this will permit excluding all the errors, which are admissible in the diagnosis of anthrax. (Author)
