BENTHIC FAUNA OF THE NORWEGIAN-ICELAND AREA AS AN INDICATOR OF WATER REGIME (DONNAYA FAUNA NORVEZHSKO-ISLANDSKOGO RAYONA KAK POKAZATEL REZHIMA VOD),

Abstract

On the basis of the material collected by the author in summer of 1954 and 1955 in the southern part of the Norwegian Sea, from the shores of Norway to Iceland, a general characteristic of the benthal fauna of this region is given. Individual areas of this region are characterized which differ in their hydrological regime, and species are distinguished which may serve as indices of water of different origin. (Author)
